Tua Tagovailoa showed off a brand new bold hairstyle as he spoke to reporters after Miami Dolphins practice on Wednesday.
The quarterback, who returned from his latest concussion in the loss to the Cardinals on Sunday, is throwing it back to his college days in Alabama.
Wearing a headband, Tagovailoa debuted his new fall-inspired flame-colored look, and fans immediately took to social media to debate it.
‘That’s the change this team needed,’ one said, while another added: ‘Is Bama Tua back????’
Tagovailoa was also asked for the reason behind his bold change, to which he replied: ‘No specific reason’, adding that he ‘just decided’ to make a change.
The QB returned to the field on Sunday for the first time in six weeks, after finishing his recovery from another concussion.
He put in his best performance of the season despite the Fins’ loss, throwing for 234 yards and a touchdown, with a pass completion of 73.7 percent.
His return marked 45 days since he suffered a sickening concussion which came when he initiated contact with Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin on a scramble instead of sliding.
He still had to be given the green light from medics and be activated from injured reserve before he could play.
The former Alabama star, who said last week he won’t be wearing a Guardian cap, has had four documented concussions in his college and NFL careers, including two in 2022.
