The wife of Buffalo Bills player Baylon Spector has been slammed by Taylor Swift fans for mocking Travis Kelce’s girlfriend after their win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Buffalo ended the back-to-back Super Bowl champions’ unbeaten start to the season on Sunday, with star quarterback Josh Allen inspiring a 30-21 victory over great rival Patrick Mahomes at Highmark Stadium.
And after the team’s huge triumph, Ryleigh Spector – who is married to Bills linebacker Baylon – couldn’t resist taking a dig at Swift on Instagram.
‘9-2!’ she wrote alongside a photo of herself and two of her fellow Bills WAGs in a reference to Buffalo’s impressive record, before adding: ‘Never a Swiftie.’
Ryleigh’s comment inevitably sparked controversy online, especially given Swift did not actually attend the game herself on Sunday.
Her die-hard legion of fans were left seething after the Instagram post, taking to social media to rip into Spector’s wife earlier this week.
‘She obviously has a very low self-esteem to go out of her way to put down Taylor Swift,’ one user wrote on X. ‘When I read all this crap I think I’m back in high school. I wonder why our country is so screwed up. We have a hard time treating people with kindness very sad to see.’
‘If it wasn’t for Low Class…She would have NO CLASS,’ another Swiftie wrote online. ‘Do better.’
A third put: ‘And the jealousy always shows up….’
A fourth said: ‘Really? So unnecessary and immature. You would think women would support someone who has brought so many other women and children for that matter back to loving the sport. Shows their true character. They should be embarrassed.’
While one concluded: ‘Yeah nobody cares if those three show up at a Bills game or not! They are irrelevant.’
However, not everyone in Buffalo is so anti-Swift.
Makenna Allen, Josh Allen’s sister, turned heads on Instagram by posting a picture of herself at Swift’s Eras Tour on the other side of the New York-Ontario border.
The NFL star’s kid sibling sported a sparkling silver-sequin mini dress with some equally ornate boots while attending the event in Toronto with two friends.
Later she posted on Instagram that the show was ‘the best night.’
Swift did not attend Sunday’s game in Orchard Park, New York, which is a little more than a two-hour drive from Toronto.
And in the end that proved a wise decision after the Chiefs’ bid for an undefeated season was spoiled by the Bills at Highmark Stadium.
Buffalo has now defeated Kansas City in four straight regular-season meetings, though the latter holds the postseason edge after prevailing in their three playoff matchups dating back to 2020.
