During the Kansas City Chiefs‘ comeback win against the Las Vegas Raiders, Travis Kelce demonstrated his team spirit by intervening in a tussle involving cornerback Amik Robertson and Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice.
The incident occurred when Robertson seemed to put excessive weight on Rice after an offensive play. Kelce stepped in to support his teammate, facing confrontation from Robertson and another Raiders player.
“The way he just threw an entire man off his teammate with what looked like a slight nudge… damn,” a Taylor Swift fan wrote.
Another fan added: “I don’t wanna hear ‘travis kelce can you fight’ anymore .”
Despite the on-field altercation, Kelce, became the fastest tight end to reach 11,000 yards. Antonio Gates and Jason Witten, who are below Kelce on the list, achieved the same milestone in 201 and 202 games, respectively.
Despite surpassing Tony Gonzalez in the fastest 10,000 receiving yards, Kelce is currently fourth on the list of most receiving yards by a tight end.
The Kansas City Chiefs celebrated Kelce’s achievement on Instagram, and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, expressed her support by liking the post.
The Chiefs, coached by Andy Reid, secured a victory, marking Reid‘s 125th career win with the team and making him the first NFL coach to achieve this distinction with two teams. The Chiefs, trailing 14-0, rallied to win 31-17, with Patrick Mahomes passing for 298 yards and two touchdowns.
