Olivia Culpo created the perfect offseason “sanctuary” for her and fiancé Christian McCaffrey.
The model purchased and renovated a stunning $3.5 million mansion in Encino, Calif., before the NFL star was even traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 2022.
The home now it serves as the couple’s main residence once the NFL season comes to a close.
“I lived in Hollywood right in the thick of it, in the middle of all the noise, and I realized I really wanted something that felt more calming, like a sanctuary almost,” she said of her home in an interview with Architectural Digest in 2021. “A respite from the city.”
Like Culpo, the 5,366-square-foot abode is both refined yet glamorous, boasting five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
It took her years for the trendsetter to furnish the home, which she previously shared with sister Sophia before McCaffrey moved in.
After poring over French architecture, Instagram and Pinterest, Culpo finally landed on a design aesthetic that combined “unique textures and neutral tones” while simultaneously remaining family friendly for her nieces and nephews.
“I have a lot of guest rooms because I have a lot of family members,” she previously told “MTV Cribs.” “This house is a revolving door… it’s crazy all the time.”
Her “adults-only” family room doubles as a “music room,” complete with heigh ceilings, a marble fireplace, an iron chandelier and matching iron cabinets — one of which houses her “treasured century-plus-year-old cello.”
While the informal living space is decorated with the same white and brown tones, it doubles as an entertaining space with glass pocket doors leading to an outdoor lounge area.
Although the model’s home appears perfectly curated, she added several sentimental touches throughout the space — like a record player in her living room that was gifted to her by McCaffrey along with “a record of their favorite songs.”
She has a hand-drawn map of her home state of Rhode Island and a picture of the running back hung up in the entertainment space — which is perfect for “gameday hangouts.”
Off the living room is an enclosed bar area and a white kitchen with black hardware, a light wood island and a geometric-patterned hood above the industrial stove.
Aside from the chic billiards room complete with a marble backsplash and neutral-tone pool balls, one of Culpo’s favorite rooms in the house is her and McCaffrey’s “flashy” bedroom.
The “sanctuary,” where Culpo previously joked is “where the magic happens,” was decorated in cooler, tones with an iron canopy bed placed against a white, shiplap wall.
“I couldn’t shake the glam in me,” Culpo joked of the fluted glass chandelier in her bedroom. “I didn’t want that style throughout the entire house, but I felt like I allowed myself to have that moment in the bedroom.”
The bedroom opens up to a balcony, which overlooks the expansive backyard complete with a resort-like pool area, and is attached to a his-and-hers bathroom area with two separate “toilet areas” for her and McCaffrey.
Although Culpo describes the bedroom as her “woman cave,” the fashion influencer’s walk-in closet — equipped with a lock to keep her sister from stealing her clothes — is another one of her “favorite” retreats.
Along with her pricey handbags and designer duds, Culpo keeps her Miss Universe and Miss USA crowns she won in 2012 in the secure space.
While it’s unclear where the couple stays when they are in the Bay Area, McCaffrey recently listed his final piece of property in North Carolina, where he spent the beginning of his career.
The former Carolina Panther sold his Charlotte condo for $3 million in late 2023, and put up his sprawling French château-inspired estate for $12.5 million last month.
The house, where Culpo lived part time alongside her now-fiancé, sits on nearly 9 acres, has two gyms, 500 feet of lake frontage, spans roughly 11,831 square feet and has six bedrooms.
