After a whirlwind few months, Patrick Mahomes is enjoying the quiet life back home in Kansas City – as he and wife Brittany celebrated their second wedding anniversary on Tuesday.
A month on from winning the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, the quarterback headed out for a romantic dinner with his wife, where the pair enjoyed some food and each other’s company.
In what is seemingly a rare occurrence with two children to think about, mom and dad headed out on their own for a meal, with Brittany sharing two images of husband Patrick at the table.
In the first, the pair clinked glasses to celebrate two years of being married, while the second image showed their desserts on the table, with a special ‘Happy Anniversary!’ message written in chocolate on both of their plates.
Earlier in the day, Brittany shared an image to her social media account of the flowers, chocolates and balloons that Patrick had gifted her on their special day.
Both also shared a series of photos from their two years of marriage, with Brittany focusing on the wedding day itself, and Patrick reminiscing on a series of different moments.
Among Patrick’s images was a snap of them together on the field at last month’s Super Bowl, as well as the celebrations in the days after the game.
The high-profile pair met back in high school and even attended prom together in 2013, and then Patrick proposed seven years later in 2020.
They welcomed their first child, Sterling, in February 2021 and then tied the knot in Hawaii on March 12, 2022.
Their second child, Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes III, was born in November of the same year.
At the wedding itself – which was held in Maui – Mahomes’ brother Jackson served as his best man, and teammate Travis Kelce was among the groomsmen.
It has been a wild year for both Mahomes and Kelce, who are close friends on and off the field.
Over the last 12 months, their partners have also grown close, with Brittany now BFFs with Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift.
The pair were regularly spotted together in VIP boxes at Chiefs games, as Taylor and Travis’ whirlwind romance took over the NFL in 2023 and 2024.
