SUPER Bowl champion Jay Ajayi has finessed his way into a new career as a rapper.
The London-born running back helped the Philadelphia Eagles win Super Bowl LII in 2018.
After retiring from the NFL, Ajayi has now started a new career as a music star under the name ‘Finesse.’
Ajayi put out a 10-track album called ‘The Motive’ in 2021.
And now he has released a new single entitled ‘Peak’ which even has a music video.
Rap music has been a passion of Ajayi’s since he was a child.
“I’ve been doing music [since] I was young,” Ajayi told TMZ.
“When I was younger I used to do MySpace music and then in college I wrote and rapped.
“I was always doing that stuff in the background.”
Ajayi, who made almost $4 million over the course of his NFL career, now says he is “jumping in full-speed ahead” to a career as a musician.
He says his music is “high energy” with “melodic vibes”.
“I like to take the listener on a journey when the listen to the music,” he adds.
“I like it to take them somewhere.”
Ajayi says he would love to work with Travis Scott in the future.
“That could be something dope,” he says.
He would also move to work with the producer Mike Dean, who has collaborated with the likes of Beyoncé, Kanye West, Jay-Z and Drake.
Ajayi also dreams of performing live in front of a sell-out crowd.

“I just want to connect with the people,” he says.
Ajayi, who moved to the United States with his family when he was seven, played college football at Boise State.
He was picked 149th in the fifth round of the 2015 Draft by the Miami Dolphins.
After three seasons at the Dolphins, he was traded to the Eagles in 2017.
He was a star performer in the playoffs that season, rushing for 57 yards in Super Bowl LII with the Eagles defeating the New England Patriots 41-33.
The 30-year-old retired from the NFL in 2022.
