Marcus D. Johnson, a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, tweeted a photo on Thursday of him being baptized.
The 6’1” 23-year-old football player was surrounded by his Eagles teammates as he stood in the center of a hotel pool in North Carolina.
He tweeted: ‘First time being Baptized! Corporate Worship is a beautiful thing!! Cleansed & Reborn in JESUS name!! #WholeHeartedly.’
Some of his teammates were there with him including quarterback Carson Wentz, tight end Zach Ertz, offensive guard Stefen Wisniewski, tight end Trey Burton, linebacker Jordan Hicks and backup quarterback Nick Foles, according to AJC.
The group embarked on the special moment before they took on the Carolina Panthers on Thursday evening.
The Eagles ended up beating the Carolina Panthers with a score of 28-23.
According to reports five other teammates were baptized in the Philadelphia Eagles’ recovery pool last year including Jordan Hicks, Mychal Kendricks, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Paul Turner and David Watford
The Philadelphia Eagles will next play the Washington Redskins on Monday October 23 in Philadelphia.
