Mitch Trubisky added a few new titles to his résumé this year — husband and Bills quarterback, for starters — and now, he’s being promoted to dad.
On Tuesday, Trubisky and wife Hillary revealed that they are expecting a child, months after tying the knot.
“Words cannot describe how excited we are to welcome Baby Tru into the world in May 2022,” Hillary captioned a collection of photos from the couple’s fall-themed maternity shoot.
In the shots, Trubisky, 27, is seen smiling as he places his hand on Hillary’s stomach. Gallagher also held up a sonogram in a separate image.
“Baby Trubisky coming soon @hill_trubisky,” Trubisky posted Tuesday to his own Instagram page.
The past several months have been a whirlwind for the Trubiskys, who announced their engagement in January. Two months later, Trubisky agreed to a one-year deal with the Bills to become starting quarterback Josh Allen’s backup following four seasons with the Bears.
Hillary, a private Pilates instructor, later wrote a touching note to Chicago fans as she and Trubisky departed for Buffalo.
“Thank you to all of the Bears fans with the sweetest messages,” Hillary posted to her Instagram Story at the time. “The city of Chicago will always have a special place in our heart.”
Trubisky, a former first-round pick, logged 64 touchdowns and 37 interceptions during his time with the Bears. He has appeared in two games for the Bills this season, in Week 3 and 4 wins over the Washington Football Team and the Houston Texans, respectively.
In response to Tuesday’s baby news, the Trubiskys — who wed in July — received a slew of well-wishes from their NFL family, including Allen’s longtime girlfriend, Brittany Williams.
