The retired Philadelphia Eagles center celebrated his daughter Bennett turning 2, on Sunday, Feb. 23
Jason Kelce is celebrating his baby girl’s birthday!
Speaking on the latest episode of his New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, released Wednesday, Feb. 26, the retired Philadelphia Eagles center, 37, spoke about his favorite part of being a father as he marked the second birthday of his daughter, Bennett Llewellyn, whom he shares with wife Kylie Kelce, 32.
“Benny, she is so funny right now, and she’s at that age where she responds and can talk, but she doesn’t always know what she’s saying,” Jason said. “And it’s just adorable.”
He added, “It’s fantastic to interact with her on a daily basis. Seeing the learning process and, like, the curiosity of a child all manifesting, that’s probably my favorite part about being a parent is just watching a child figure things out and being there with them while they’re doing that.”
“And, like, how amazing something as simple as, like, figuring out how to open up the fridge … there’s gonna be something that just blows her mind that you take advantage of every single day as a grown up,” Jason continued.
He said, “And you’re like, ‘Oh my God.’ This just made this little kid’s entire day figuring out how to screw unscrew a water bottle. Right now, that’s all she’s doing the rest of the day, and it’s like the best thing ever.”
In addition to Bennett, Jason and Kylie are also parents to daughters Wyatt Elizabeth, 5, and Elliotte Ray, 3. The couple is expecting a fourth baby girl later this year.
On the podcast, Jason also shared that Bennett was celebrating her second birthday without him due to the filming of the podcast. “We’ve kind of been celebrating it last night and today,” he said.
“By the time the next kid is here, we’ll have a 5-year-old, a 4-year-old, a 2-year-old and a newborn,” the soon-to-be father of four continued. “So we’re in the thick of it. We’re in the thick of it big time. It’s gonna be crazy. I still don’t know how we’re gonna handle four, but, it’s gonna be intense.”
Jason’s brother and co-host Travis Kelce, 35, then chimed in to note that he loves having fun with the girls, while also being able to give them back to their parents.
“I can’t wait to f—— get up in there and have some fun with those girls and hand them right back to you. Alright now.”
“That’s the benefit of the uncle. Uncle Travie,” Jason agreed.
