Kyle Juszczyk’s Fashion Designer Wife Kristin Explains Why She Declined Kamala Harris’ Jacket Request

Kristin Juszczyk revealed she was forced to turn down a request from the White House when her husband, Kyle, made it to the Super Bowl.

The fashion designer, who wed the San Francisco 49ers fullback in 2019, had recently made a custom jacket for Taylor Swift when she received a call from another A-lister: vice president Kamala Harris.

‘During the Super Bowl, I got a text from my agent, and that’s when things were going crazy. He was like, “Hey, the vice president wants a jacket,”‘ she recalled in an interview with Fox News Digital this week.

‘I’m like, “What company?” He’s like, “The country.”‘

Harris, who is a 49ers fan, put in the request in the midst of San Francisco’s Super Bowl LVIII campaign, where they faced the Kansas City Chiefs.

‘Unfortunately, at that time, I had no help and no ways of being able to make more stuff. There was just no time,’ Kristin went on.

‘But that’s always a funny story that stuck out to me. I’m like, “This is going crazy. I got a request from the White House.”‘

The 30-year-old went viral after making jackets for the likes of Simone Biles, Olivia Culpo and Taylor Lautner.

‘I had never made anything for anybody else, so I was always hesitant because I’m a perfectionist at my heart, and [it would bring] it to a whole other level if I were handing it to somebody else. I’m no professional whatsoever, I’m completely self-taught,’ she explained.

‘But I finally took that leap of faith last year, and it’s been such a fun process. I’m learning every single day. I love a challenge. I love being able to pick up new things in life and learn it. This is something that, no matter how long I do it, I’ll always be learning.’

Kristin, who has since signed a licensing deal with the NFL, previously revealed she suffered with imposter syndrome as her work began to take off.

‘It’s hard sometimes not to have imposter syndrome when you start to have success,’ she said on her Instagram Story in March

‘So I struggle with that but I’m trying to just keep my head down and focus on my main goal which is to get this line off the ground,’ she went on.

‘I keep pinching myself to make sure I’m awake. All I’ve ever wanted was to be a entrepreneur and to start my own line.’
